Belarus expects breakthrough level of cooperation with UAE

        Belarus expects a breakthrough level of cooperation with the United Arab Emirates. The statement was made by Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei as he opened the first session of the joint committee for cooperation between the governments of Belarus and the UAE.
The Belarusian Foreign Minister assured that Belarus will do its best to bolster the friendly relations between the two countries and nations. In his words, Belarus admiringly monitors the progress of the United Arab Emirates and is ready to learn from the country’s experience. The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry drew attention to the high-paced dynamics of Belarus-UAE relations in all the areas.
“The United Arab Emirates is a leading partner of Belarus in the Middle East in political and economic cooperation. We are ready to expand our interaction,” underlined Vladimir Makei. He also said that Belarus and the UAE had considerably enhanced the bilateral ties thanks to the visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the United Arab Emirates in March 2013 and the agreements reached during the visit.
