Belarus’ representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 Alyona Lanskaya will perform 11th in the first semi-final on 14 May. A reminder, this year the running order was not decided by the drawing of lots, instead by the producers. The move aimed to ensure that all the contestants have a chance to stand out, preventing entries that are too similar cancelling each other out. Executive Supervisor of the contest Jon Ola Sand explained that the major task of the organizers is to give each entry an opportunity to shine. The Eurovision Song Contest 2013 will be held in Malmo, Sweden, on 14-18 May.
This year the international song contest will be held for the 58th time. Taking part in it will be 39 countries. The two semi-finals and the final will be broadcast live by Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 TV channels.
