An agreement on cooperation has been signed by the Belarusian national public association Belaya Rus and the Polish party Samoobrona Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej in Minsk.
At the press conference held after the document was signed Chairman of the political party Samoobrona Lech Kuropatwinski remarked:
(record)
“I believe that the agreement will benefit both the parties. We would like to advance our relations. Upon returning home we will state what we have seen and state that some Polish mass media criticize Belarus for nothing. The criticism does not match the reality. We can talk about political differences but it is important for us that we have the same approaches to dealing with global issues of economic interaction, the educational and cultural policies”.
Lech Kuropatwinski added that preparing the platform for the 2014 elections, representatives of the party will surely focus on the youth policy relying on Belarus’ experience among other things. The representative of the Polish side was convinced that Poland and Belarus could establish tighter cooperation in agriculture. The meeting in Minsk also touched upon the possibility of buying Belarusian tractors, setting up summer camps for the youth, exchanging delegations, and other projects.
