Academies of sciences of Belarus, Russia announce prize winners in 2012

        The Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have announced prize winners of 2012. Three research teams working on Belarus-Russia joint projects were awarded for outstanding scientific achievements. The prize in the field of engineering sciences was bestowed upon Director of the A.A. Baikov Metallurgy and Materials Science Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Konstantin Solntsev, his deputies Sergei Barinov and Alexei Kolmakov, Head of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Piotr Vityaz, and others.
         Thus, the prize in the field of humanitarian sciences was bestowed upon representatives of the Center for Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the NASB, members of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, associate professor of the Novosibirsk State Agricultural University Alexander Golomyanov. All of them took part in the research project “Belarusians in Siberia: Preservation and Transformation of Ethnic Culture”.
