Belarus chooses best innovative projects 2012

       Winners and finalists of the national contest for innovative projects 2012 have been announced in Minsk. The best innovative project of the year was a project to manufacture handling machinery and to expand a range of services by Vitstroitekhmash. Second came the project to set up small-scale production of pharmaceutical substances to get antitumor, cardiotropic and other drugs (the author of the project is Pavel Bychkovsky from Unitekhprom BSU). The third position was taken by a project to develop a pathogenic technology to diagnose and treat obstructive sleep apnea. The project was managed by Zhanna Kolyadich from the National Center for Otorhinolaryngology. The best innovative youth project was the transplant method to treat severe forms of hypoparathyroidism using allogenic cultivated parathyrocytus obtained from living non-related donors (the author of the project is Vladimir Khryshchanovich). The second position was taken by a project to develop a method to select and assess source material for producing commercial pines (the author of the project is Sergei Rebko from the BSU). Third came the project to develop a process of getting thin-walled plugs from friction-proof silumin for attached implements of excavators (the Institute of Metal Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus). All the finalists of the contest were awarded diplomas and prizes of the State Committee for Science and Technology.
