Belarus and Krasnoyarsk Krai of Russia should step up investment cooperation, said Prime Minister of Belarus Mr Mikhail Myasnikovich as he met with Mr Lev Kuznetsov, Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Russian Federation.
Mikhail Myasnikovich said the visit opened a new page in Belarus-Krasnoyarsk Krai cooperation. The potential is huge. “We try to be useful not only in trade and economic cooperation but also in investment cooperation,” said the Prime Minister.
The Belarusian head of government pointed out the rising trade turnover. In 2011 it stood at $131.5 million, 63.6% up from 2010. In January-August 2012 it was close to $80 million. Yet the number of joint ventures is small, stressed Mikhail Myasnikovich. “In conditions of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space the creation of joint transnational corporations can be used to penetrate markets of third countries in addition to working on the markets of our countries,” he said. The Prime Minister invited Krasnoyarsk Krai to take part in active investment cooperation, primarily in civil engineering and the production sector. “We will create comfortable conditions for it,” assured Mikhail Myasnikovich. He underscored that there are no closed topics in the mutual relations and confirmed the readiness to have an open dialogue about all the matters, including the most complicated and delicate topics.
