In 2012 Belarus will import the whole amount of Russian oil envisaged in the annual oil supply contract, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told reporters.
According to First Deputy Prime Minister, the negotiations with the Russian side on oil supply to Belarus were held normally. “We discussed all issues and agreed to restore the amount of oil supplies in Q4 to 5.3 million tons as was envisaged in the annual oil supply balance,” said Vladimir Semashko.
All in all, Belarus expects to import the whole amount of oil envisaged in the contract – 21.5 million tons, Vladimir Semashko noted.
As for Russian oil supplies in 2013, the First Vice Premier said Belarus is aiming for 23 million tons.
On 31 October – 1 November Moscow played host to the negotiations between First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko and Russian Vice Premiers Arkady Dvorkovich and Dmitry Rogozin. The parties considered the state and prospects of further trade and economic cooperation including efforts to increase bilateral collaboration in the fuel and energy area.
