Belarus, Amur Oblast agree to boost mutual trade

Belarus and Amur region of Russia plan to increase mutual trade. The parties are mulling over Belarusian agricultural exports, head of the main foreign economic activity department at the Agriculture and Food Ministry Alexei Bogdanov told media as he commented on the visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Russian region. The visit included the third meeting of the permanent working group on bilateral cooperation between Belarus and the Russian region. The parties talked about a decline in the trade turnover in 2014. According to Minister of Agriculture of Amur region Sergei Vologdin, there were a number of objective reasons (including floods in 2013) behind it.
“Solutions have already been found. We are ready to move forward,” Sergei Vologdin said.
The parties agreed to increase Belarusian meat and dairy supplies, as well as other food products, to Amur region. Besides, the parties will continue cooperation in livestock breeding.
