Lukashenko praises vigorous development of Belarusian science

      Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko praises the vigorous development of the Belarusian science and the enhancement of its role in the resolution of topical issues. He made the statement at the ceremony to present diplomas to academicians and members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the presidential press-service reports. According to the President, it is especially important that the scientists are focused on the promising industries with immense scientific value, huge economic efficiency, a big export potential which are in demand in the national economy and the social sector. Alexander Lukashenko praised a big contribution of scientists to the designing of optoelectronic equipment for civil and social purposes and the development of space engineering. In his opinion, machine building, metalworking, and production of new materials are important industries, too.
