CSTO states stand for consolidation of efforts against terrorism

The CSTO states advocate further consolidation of efforts in countering terrorism and extremism both within the CSTO and at the global level, runs the statement of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in connection with the deadly terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk near Moscow on 22 March, BelTA has learned.

“We advocate further consolidation of the CSTO member states and the entire world community in countering terrorism and extremism,” the statement emphasized.

“We, the heads of the parliamentary delegations of the CSTO member states in the Parliamentary Assembly, strongly condemn the cruel and cynical terrorist attack committed in Moscow Oblast on 22 March 2024, which resulted in numerous casualties among civilians,” the document reads.

The statement expresses readiness to actively combat the spread of terrorist and extremist ideology and to counter recruitment into the ranks of terrorist organizations.
