Belarusian Champion futsal club MFK VitEn Vitebsk have got through to the Main Round of the UEFA Futsal Cup. Earlier the Belarusians took part in Group F of the UEFA Futsal Cup Preliminary Round in Sweden’s Goteborg.
In the last game they overpowered hosts Goteborg 5-2 (3-1). In the first game of the Preliminary Round the Belarusian club overpowered Scotland’s Perth Saltires 11-2. In the second tour they ousted Ireland’s Eden College Futsal 4-2.
In Group F MFK VitEn Vitebsk are first. The club from Vitebsk earned nine points boasting the goal difference of 20-6. Eden College Futsal are second with four points (7-7), Goteborg third with four points (10-12) with Perth Saltires propping up the table without any points (6-18).
MFK VitEn Vitebsk will play in Riga in October. In Group 1 of the Main Round they have been drawn against Slov-Matic Bratislava of Slovakia, FK Nikars Riga of Latvia (hosts of the group) and Germany’s Hamburg Panthers. Two top teams in this group will advance to the Elite Round where Belarusian clubs have not played for seven years.
