The international arts festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk transcended the boundaries of the Slavonic world long ago, reads the welcome address of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the guests and participants of the forum.
“This outstanding event held on the hospitable Belarusian land is no longer just a Slavonic event. It has acquired the reputation of one of the most significant events in the cultural life of the CIS member states. The popularity of the festival is steadily growing. It has become a good school for many talented singers, composers, poets, artists, actors and directors, while for the audience it is a good opportunity to get familiar with the best pieces of performing art and to feel a creative and friendly atmosphere which Slavonic Bazaar has always been famous for,” the welcome address reads.
