Amateur football club Isloch from Minsk District picked up the bronze medals of the UEFA Regions’ Cup that concluded in Italy.
In tour 1 the Belarusian team fell to favorites of the tournament FC Seleccion Catalana 0-2. However, manger Vitaly Zhukovsky’s side snatched an important 1-0 victory over Russia’s FC Olimp. Matchday three was also lucky for Belarusians as they got another 1-0 victory over FC Yugoiztochen Region of Bulgaria, which gave the Belarusians the tournament’s bronze.
FC Isloch of Belarus entered the final tournament of the UEFA Regions’ Cup after succeeding in the qualification competition played in Molodechno, Belarus, in August 2012. Back then, they won three games against France’s FC Paris Ile de France 2-0, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Savez Tuzlanskog 2-1 and the team of Central Slovakia 1-0.
FC Isloch was established in 2007. In 2012 it competed in the second league of the Belarusian national football championship. It took them one season to be promoted to the Belarusian First League, which is the second most important division in the Belarusian professional football.
