A large-scale presentation of the Minsk-based Hi-Tech Park took place in Seoul, South Korea. Denis Aleinikov (a developer of the Digital Economy Development Ordinance, a lawyer specializing in international law) and Oleg Kondratenko (director of Light Well Organization, an IT company based in the Hi-Tech Park) talked about Belarus as an IT country during the Smart Cloud Show.

Denis Aleinikov outlined innovations of the Digital Economy Development Ordinance before the international audience. “The presentation of the Digital Economy Development Ordinance and the concept for regulating blockchain-powered business met a strong interest in Korea since its size is similar to Belarus’ and the country is considering a cryptocurrency regulation concept,” said Denis Aleinikov after talking to the Korean audience during the Smart Cloud Show. “Koreans are constantly on the lookout for growth points and creative concepts for dominating the Asian market.”

Members of the Hi-Tech Park delegation met with representatives of South Korean IT corporations and the private sector, including Korea’s largest IT integrator Samsung SDS and the telecommunications holding company Korea Telecom. The Belarusian delegation discussed prospects of cooperation in venture financing with representatives of the Korean Venture Capital Association (KVCA) and the Korea Venture Investment Corporation (KVIC).
