Makei to head Belarus’ part at Belarus-UAE joint committee meeting in Minsk

        Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei lead the Belarusian part at the first meeting of the joint committee on cooperation between the governments of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that took place in Minsk.
      The UAE delegation was headed by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash. The parties met to discuss bilateral political and economic cooperation as well as prospects for the legal framework development and cooperation in international organizations. The committee analyzed the ways to boost cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, pharmacy, finance and tourism. The sides also discussed the issues related to attraction of UAE investment in various sectors of the Belarusian economy.
        The meeting was attended by representatives of the UAE parliament, ministries of foreign affairs, economy, finance, justice, culture, the National Council for Tourism and Heritage, the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, big companies.
