Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries, Rural Affairs and Spatial Planning of France Stephane Le Foll has visited the Belarusian booth featuring Belarus tractors at the Paris International Agribusiness Show Sima 2013. Stephane Le Foll opened this international agricultural forum on 24 February.
The expo has been taking place in Paris for the 75th time. Stephane Le Foll visited numerous booths showcasing new achievements in the agribusiness sector. He was particularly interested in the Belarus-made tractors that have been attracting everybody’s attention from the very opening of the forum. During a conversation with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko, the French minister suggested setting up a Belarus-France task force to promote cooperation in agriculture. Stephane Le Foll welcomed the Belarusian delegation and wished them good luck.
At present France is a promising export destination for farm machinery makers. Every year France purchases 35,000 farm machines. Minsk Tractor Works and its French partners are considering a possibility to resume deliveries of farm machines to this country.
