Lukashenko: No need for CSTO to oppose any blocs including NATO

There is no need for the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to go in opposition with any blocs including NATO, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he commented on the Moscow summits. “NATO and the CSTO which is growing in power from year to year should see each other, and not just see but cooperate ensuring peace and security on the Eurasian continent,” the Belarusian head of state said. “Regional security in Eurasia cannot be separated. All the organizations that are able to work on providing this security should cooperate,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
The Belarusian leader stated that at the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council a lot had been said about cooperation of the CSTO with the international organizations such as OSCE, UN, especially in peace-building.
