The Tajik capital of Dushanbe will host the First Forum of Slavonic Universities on 17 November. Partaking in the event will be rectors of Slavonic universities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, BelTA reports. Rector of the Russian-Tajik Slavonic University (RTSU) Nurali Salikhov said that representatives of Tomsk Polytechnic University and branches of Russian universities in Dushanbe have also been invited to take part in the forum.
The First Forum of Slavonic Universities has been organized with the support of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund. A memorandum to establish the Association of Slavonic Universities will be signed during the international event.
It is expected that the participants of the forum will meet in regular annual sessions.
