Consultations to change Belarus-Russia union defense doctrine in progress

         Consultations are in progress to change the defense doctrine of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, BelTA quotes State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota.
       “A new revision of the military doctrine of the Russian Federation has been recently adopted. It will naturally require some adjustments of the defense doctrine of the Union State and the regional military group. Consultations are in progress,” he said. The official said that the military and political sphere is one of the most harmoniously developing spheres in Belarus-Russia cooperation. According to the source, the defense ministries have perfected the interaction mechanism. It is an example for many other ministries as far as the organization of the work is concerned. Joint sessions of the boards are held regularly as well as tactical field and staff exercises. There is also the regional army group that takes care of entire Belarus and some territory of Russia, stressed Grigory Rapota.
