Belarus seeks economic cooperation with Syria


         Belarus is interested in developing trade and economic cooperation with Syria, Vice Premier Mikhail Rusyi said in a meeting with the Syrian delegation led by Industry Minister Kamal Eddin Tu'ma. According to the Vice Premier, even in the most difficult situation which Syria is currently facing, traditionally friendly relations between the two countries help preserve stability and momentum. “Belarus has never changed its position on the recent developments in your country and has always been against the interference of other states, spoke in favor of Syria’s sovereignty and integrity as a state. We are confident that unity with help the Syrian people withstand all the challenges and threats and come out of the current crisis,” Mikhail Rusyi stressed.
       The Vice Premier noted that Belarus views Syria as an important and reliable economic partner in Middle East. “We have a lot to offer to our Syrian partners,” he said. The Syrian delegation will be able to make sure of it while visiting Belarusian companies.
