Belaruskali’s new compound fertilizers factory operational in spring 2013

The new factory to make compound fertilizers of the Belarusian company Belaruskali should turn out the first merchandise in spring 2013.
The construction of this factory with the output capacity of 240,000 tons of compound fertilizers per annum was discussed at the government session held by Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich in Soligorsk.
Speaking about the current situation on world markets of potash fertilizers, Mikhail Myasnikovich pointed out the following:

“At present potash fertilizers sell extremely badly due to certain problems on India’s foreign currency market. India is a key importer of Belarusian potash fertilizers.
There are also certain issues with the increase of purchases from the Chinese side and some others. Therefore, the full capacity of Belaruskali is not needed.
The company could have made and sold 1.2 million tons of fertilizers more in January-September. If Belaruskali produced compound fertilizers, they would be sold right away. This is the essence of export-oriented production”.
