Belarus President: Some EU assessments towards Belarus slammed as lame, biased

Assessments voiced by individual politicians in Brussels in respect of Belarus are lame and biased, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said accepting credentials from the ambassadors of foreign countries.

“We do not accept pressure and interference in the internal affairs,” Alexander Lukashenko underscored addressing the heads of the diplomatic missions of the EU countries:
“Today the European economy is facing serious challenges. Some even have started doubting the integrity of the European Union. In these circumstances, it is more important than ever to bring the countries of the continent together to combat the financial and economic difficulties, and new cross-border problems. All partial and sensible people understand it. They also see that next to the European Union there is developing a constructive Eurasian integration project.
What surprises me in this situation is the lameness and bias with which some politicians in Brussels, who, by the way, are getting increasingly detached from the real needs of the European people, evaluate developments in our country. The mentoring attitude and the vision which is asserted as the only right one can be applied to countries that seek to become part of the European Union someday. However, Belarus is not among them” .
According to Alexander Lukashenko, Belarusians are open, kind-hearted, sensitive, hospitable and peaceful people. These qualities make the basis of the country’s foreign political doctrine, Alexander Lukashenko said.
