The forum means much for Belarusians who live in Lithuania. Head of the union of Belarusians Raman Vainitsky, says on phone from Vilnius:
Both Belarusians and Lithuanians were greatly impressed by the concert of the Belarusian State Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Anisimov. The house was full and the musicians received much acclaim.
On September 24 an exhibition dedicated to Yanka Kupala opened in the Library n.a. Mitskevich. It is noteworthy that Belarus culture minister Pavel Latushka recited the poetry by Yanka Kupala in Belarusian, while director of the library did it in Lithuanian. It was wonderful.
On Saturday the 17th Belarusian Song Festival was held.
