Belarusian athletes took the first silver medal after two third places at the Junior European freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling Championships, which is taking place in Poland’s Katowice.
The second place in the women's freestyle wrestling went to Kseniya Stankevich (weight category up to 44 kg). Stankievich became a participant of the final match after consistently beating three rivals, and all three the Belarusian won by pinfall.
During this continental forum several junior representatives of Belarus are yet to hold their first matches: Violetta Chirik (48 kg), Svetlana Lomashevich (55 kg), Kristina Tsan (63 kg) and Natalia Lanko (72 kg).
Earlier at the tournament Belarusian juniors Evgeni Rebikov (50 kg) and Surkho Rashithanov took one bronze medal each.
