Cornerstone for Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park

A cornerstone laying ceremony at the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park took place near the village of Bykacheno, Smolevichi District, the press service of the Belarusian government reports. Taking part in the ceremony will be government officials and businessmen from the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich, and potential investors. The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park will have a special legal status. Resident companies will enjoy a number of benefits and privileges, like well-developed infrastructure, long-term tax benefits, comprehensive services and a possibility to have the so-called one-stop service. The total investments are estimated at $5.6 billion. The majors tasks of the administration of the park are to encourage domestic and foreign investments, promote high-tech and competitive productions, create jobs and thus contribute to Belarus’ social and economic development. The administration will register resident companies and conclude agreements with them. The priority areas of business in the park will be fine chemistry, biomedicine, electronic industry and mechanical engineering.
