Lukashenko: The next five-year period will not be easy

The next five-year period will not be an easy one, but the society is united and the economy is showing good results, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting to discuss the election campaign 2025 in Minsk on 5 November, BelTA has learned.

“Our society seems united. The economy is showing good results. I must say however that the next five-year period, and even the next year, is not going to be an easy one. I am always trying to protect our society from any talk about sanctions. Yet, no sanctions have been lifted,” the head of state said.
