Ethiopia interested in Belarus’ best practices across various areas

Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik has held a meeting with new Ethiopian Ambassador to Russia Genet Teshome Jiru, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed cooperation between Belarus and Ethiopia in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian areas, touched upon the organization of visits at various levels, as well as the interaction between the two countries within international organizations and associations,” the press service said.

The Ethiopian ambassador emphasized the country's interest in Belarusian best practices in agriculture, agricultural mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and information technology. In his words, the products of Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) are widely known in Ethiopia.

“The ambassadors of Belarus and Ethiopia have indicated mutual interest in exploring the prospects of cooperation in tourism. Aleksandr Rogozhnik invited the Ethiopian tourism industry to take part in tourism exhibitions in Belarus,” the press service said.
