Belarus, China to exchange Days of Culture

Belarus and China will exchange the Days of Culture, Xia Guangyuan, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Belarus, told the media after the opening of the Space of Ideas exhibition of works by Chinese students, undergraduates, postgraduates, and interns of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts at the National Clinical Medical Center of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate, BelTA has learned.

“This year Belarus will host the Days of Chinese Culture, and next year China will host the Days of Belarus Culture,” Xia Guangyuan said.

The cultural counselor noted China’s interest in Belarusian culture. A lot of Belarusian creative teams have performed in major cities of China. Many Chinese know the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus, the Belarusian band Pesnyary and the Belarusian dance company Khoroshki. They are increasingly popular in China.

According to Xia Guangyuan, Chinese delegations actively participate in major events held in Belarus, for example, in the Minsk International Book Fair, Slavianski Bazaar, and the Minsk International Film Festival Listapad.
