Registration of candidates for deputies starts in Belarus.This stage of the election campaign will last until January 30. During this period members of territorial and district election commissions will check the submitted papers for compliance with the requirements of the Electoral Code and make decisions on the registration of candidates. Within two days after registration they will be issued certificates. Then the campaigning will begin. In total, on February 25 Belarusians will have to elect 110 MPs to the House of Representatives and more than 12.5 thousand deputies to local councils on the Single Voting Day. International observers will join the monitoring of the election campaign. The mission from the CIS will be headed by Secretary General of the Commonwealth Sergei Lebedev.
