Belarus government delegation to visit Saint Petersburg on 1-2 October

        A Belarus government delegation led by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich is on a visit to Saint Petersburg. The discussions center around the state and prospects of Belarus-Saint Petersburg cooperation will be discussed as well as ways to diversify and raise Belarusian export, matters concerning the development of manufacturing cooperation ties.
        During the visit the sixth session of the Belarus-Saint Petersburg Business Cooperation Council will be held. Participants of the session will discuss the progress in fulfilling the program for trade, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian cooperation between the Belarus government and the Saint Petersburg government in 2012-2016. Among other things the session will table the implementation of joint projects in the area of manufacturing cooperation, organization of deliveries of Belarusian passenger, municipal, and road construction vehicles, lift equipment to Saint Petersburg as well as cooperation in food, civil engineering, and research areas.
        In January-July 2013 Belarus-Saint Petersburg trade turnover totaled over 1 billion USD, 12.4% up from January-July 2012.
