The second tournament dedicated to commemorate former captain of the Belarusian national ice hockey team Ruslan Salei will open with a game between Spartak Moscow and Neman Grodno at Minsk Arena.
The second match between Dinamo Minsk and Amur Khabarovsk will start at on the same day.
The tournament will close on 18 August with games between Spartak and Amur and Dinamo Minsk and Neman.
The first Ruslan Salei Memorial Tournament was won by Vityaz Chekhov. Dinamo Minsk finished last out of the three teams that took part in the tournament in 2012.
Former captain of the Belarusian national ice hockey team defenseman Ruslan Salei died on 7 September 2011, when Yak-42 passenger aircraft, carrying the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl team of the Kontinental Hockey League, crashed near Yaroslavl on its way to Minsk, Belarus, for the KHL 2011/12 season opener. Salei played 9 seasons for the Detroit Red Wings from 1996 to 2006. In the 2002-03 NHL season, Salei and the Ducks went all the way to the Stanley Cup finals, only to lose in the seventh game to the New Jersey Devils. Salei also played for the Colorado Avalanche and the Florida Panthers before moving to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League.
