Visit of Patriarch of Moscow, heads of other Orthodox churches to Minsk over

       The of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill and heads of other regional Orthodox churches visited Minsk.
         In honor of the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus an open-air divine service took place in the center of the city, in place where the Minsk citadel used to stand. Taking into account the hierarchy that had evolved among the churches, the divine service was led by Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodore. Prior to the service a religious procession from the Minsk - Hero City pillar to the Minsk citadel location had taken place. Over 50,000 people gathered for the divine service and the religious procession.
     Apart from that, a memory missive to commemorate the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus was installed in the place of the Minsk citadel in the center of the Belarusian capital. The missive had been signed by primates of all the Orthodox churches.
