Belarusian air defense units to partake in exercise in Russia in August

        Belarusian air defense units will take part in a tactical exercise that will involve live firing at the firing range Telemba, Chita region, Russia in August. Prior to the exercise combat coordination will be practiced by units of the 15th air defense missile brigade of the Northwestern Tactical Command of the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus and cadets of the Air Defense Department of the Military Academy of Belarus. Combat coordination will be practiced at the training station of the Air and Space Defense Command of the Russian Federation in the town of Ruza.
       Combat units will practice the actions involved in destroying an airborne target using imitator equipment Tembr. They will practice ways and methods of aerial warfare in complicated air and interference conditions, explained the source. Apart from that, the training will focus on practicing with Strizh and Korshun type targets in conditions as close to those of a firing range as possible.
       It will be the first time units of the 15th air defense missile brigade will practice live firing at the firing range Telemba. In the past they have been able to improve their combat skills using the firing range Ashuluk only, explained the source.
