A regular session of the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council in Moscow discussed information about the progress in working out a draft CIS agreement on transit by pipeline transport. The session also tabled the progress in fulfilling the priority action plan designed to implement a concept for cooperation in power engineering. Participants of the session discussed reports about revised projections of the output and consumption of energy resources by the CIS member states for the period till 2020. A consolidated list of competitive products offered by manufacturers in the Commonwealth of Independent States was also discussed the trade policy of Moldova was reviewed.
Other matters regarding integration interaction of the CIS states in economic affairs were also on agenda. Participants of the session talked over several draft documents, including agreements on cooperation in information security, protocols that suggest amending the agreements on rules designed to determine the country of origin in the CIS, the promotion of exhibitions and fairs in the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the coordination of interstate relations in power engineering industry.
