Belarus' agricultural output up 4.9% in January-September

Belarus' agricultural production rose 4.9% in Janaury-September 2020, Belarus' Agriculture and Food Minister Ivan Krupko said at the 6th export forum dedicated to the Belarusian dairy industry on 14 October, BelTA has learned.

“2020 has brought about many challenges, including the pandemic. The agrarian sector of Belarus, however, did well. In January-September, the output made up 104.9% year-on-year across all categories of farms, and 107.8% across agricultural organizations. Crop farming increased by 11%, cattle breeding – 5.3%. The dairy sector showed a 5.7% growth,” Ivan Krupko said.
