Gomel to host Sozhski Karagod choreography festival 13-15 September

Gomel is gearing up to the 7th international choreography festival Sozhski Karagod, which is to take place in the oblast capital on 13-15 September.

A competition has been announced for the best decoration of the city central streets, and the main concert venues. The competition has been also announced for the best design project on the emblems of the festival, souvenirs, printed and promotion materials.

The program of the festival will be adopted soon. Partaking in the forum are traditionally about 1,000 artists and guests from Belarus, CIS and non-CIS countries. Among them are amateur bands of different choreographic styles.

The festival is aimed at preserving, developing and promoting choreography, studying modern processes in global dancing art, expanding and strengthening international creative ties, enhancing cooperation of national cultures, developing choreographic festival movement in Belarus.
