Contact group on Ukraine in session in Minsk

The Trilateral Contact Group to settle the situation in eastern Ukraine held another session in Minsk, media learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The previous session took place on 18 December 2019. The parties discussed at length the detainee swap. The agenda also included legal aspects of the special status of the certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to the Trilateral Contact Group, Ambassador Martin Sajdik introduced his successor, Swiss diplomat Heidi Grau. Martin Sajdik also thanked Belarus for its sincere hospitality and support.

He has been the special representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to the Trilateral Contact Group for about 4.5 years.
