Eurasian Economic Commission suggested to supervise talks with WTO

The Eurasian Economic Commission should supervise negotiations between Customs Union member states and the World Trade Organization. The statement was made by Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich at the roundtable session held in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus to discuss Eurasian economic prospects.
According to the official, the matter of Kazakhstan’s accession to the WTO is very important for Belarus.
        (record)
The Eurasian Economic Commission should supervise the matter very tightly but it seems to us that no due attention is paid to these negotiations for now.
I have reached an agreement with his Kazakhstani counterpart that will allow Belarus to play a more active part in Kazakhstan’s talks with the WTO. Belarus also counts on Russia’s active stance on it, too, although Russia is less interested in it because it is already a WTO member.
Kazakhstan intends to reduce tariff protection for many commodities, including pork, fish, medications, tractors, and automobiles. These are very sensitive positions for Belarus.
