The 2014 IIHF World Championship has been presented in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, as part of an expert and media tour “Sports facilities of the Union State.” The presentation was held by Public Relations Manager of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Arseny Yakovenko. The event focused on the problem of attendance at the forthcoming 2014 IIHF World Championship, BelTA has learnt.
“The situation with half-empty stands at the 2013 IIHF World Championship in Stockholm and Helsinki was the result of the pricing policy. To avoid this situation in Minsk in 2014 we will not raise ticket prices without reason. We want hockey fans to remember this tournament for its high level of the organization,” Arseny Yakovenko said.
