Belarus, Czechia discuss consular matters in Minsk

       Consultations on consular issues between the foreign ministries of Belarus and the Czech Republic were held in Minsk.
      The Belarusian delegation was led by Head of the Central Consular Office of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Alexander Ostrovsky, and the Czech one by Director of the Department for Consular Concepts and Methodology of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jan Vycital.
        During the consultations the sides reviewed the activities of the consular services of both countries’ foreign ministries. They exchanged information on the priorities of visa policy and focused on the changes in legal framework in the consular field. The sides discussed the protection of rights and interests of Belarusian and Czech citizens in the two countries and also legal framework governing double citizenship and citizenship of children in mixed Belarusian-Czech families. The officials reviewed other matters of mutual interest, too.
The sides agreed to hold the next round of consultations in Prague, the Czech Republic in 2014.
