Rumas: No withdrawals, restrictions in Eurasian Economic Union

         The Troika member states should remove all the existing withdrawals and restrictions by the time the Eurasian Economic Union is launched on 1 January 2015, Belarus’ member of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Rumas said. In his words, one of the issues that were high on the agenda of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Astana was further integration development. “The sides have reached close understanding of what integration areas should be further developed,” Sergei Rumas said.
     The parties also took a look into the withdrawals that exist in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space today. “The heads of state have instructed the Eurasian Economic Commission and the governments to conduct a detailed review of all the withdrawals so as to remove all of them, including restrictions, by the time the Eurasian Economic Union goes operational on 1 January 2015,” Sergei Rumas added.
