Flax holding company in Belarus by 2014

       The work to set up a flax industry holding company in Belarus is supposed to begin this year. The holding company itself will become operational in 2014. The information was released by Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Vasily Pavlovsky after the Moscow-Minsk video conference to discuss the revival of the flax industry in the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
       “We plan to set up a holding company in the future. We should start working on its creation this year but it should become operational starting 2014,” said the Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister.
Proposals of the Agriculture and Food Ministry to set up the holding company are being considered by the government. “I think the proposals will be considered within one month,” specified the official. “It will only benefit agricultural enterprises, flax mills, and the Orsha flax mill”.
