Zabor art project coming to Gomel

The art project Zabor (Fence) opens its exposition in Gomel.
The expo will feature some 40 reproductions of modern Belarusian artists that are to be displayed on the main part of the fence of the Palace of Rumyantsevs-Paskeviches. The out-of-door exposition will include the works of Sergei Kaval, Vladislav Stalmakhov, Ruslan Vashkevich, Viktor Alshevsky, Alexander Sushkov.
The main idea of the project is to introduce the art of the Belarusian artists to the public as today the fine art is characterized by some isolation of the artist from the spectator.
The Zabor art project took its start in Minsk and continues its way throughout the cities of Belarus. Gomel will be the third host of the project.
According to the organizers of the open-air exhibition, its offbeat format, when pictures are displayed outside galleries or museums and become a part of the urban life, its architecture, atmosphere, history is an unusual practice for our country and a dairy routine for European cities.
The expo will run through the end of July.
