      A religious procession in memory of Kirill of Turov took place in Gomel on 10 May 2013, we learnt from the information department of the Gomel Diocese.
       With the blessing of His Grace Stephan, Bishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, the religious procession followed the divine liturgy and marked the Day of Saint Kirill celebrated on 11 May. The procession made its way from the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral to the monument to Kirill of Turov on Lenin Square.
The name of this saint is of special importance for the Gomel region. The grateful offspring cherish the memory of Saint Kirill, Bishop of Turov, renowned writer and preacher, whose spiritual and educational heritage is a symbol of the unity of the Slavic nations. Monuments and churches are built to commemorate his name.
