Belarus, South Africa discuss agriculture cooperation, manufacturing cooperation

         Prospects of cooperation in agriculture and manufacturing cooperation were discussed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to South Africa Andrei Molchan and Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu, Chairman of the National Council of Provinces of the South Africa parliament. The meeting took place in Pretoria. The sides discussed results of bilateral cooperation in 2012 and since 2013, talked over prospects of advancing cooperation, primarily in agriculture and in manufacturing cooperation. The sides also shared views regarding further steps to advance Belarus-South Africa interparliamentary cooperation. The Ambassador of Belarus informed Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu about the creation of a working group in the Belarus parliament for cooperation with the South Africa parliament and suggested that the South African side should follow suit. Apart from that, prospects of advancing cooperation between parliaments within the framework of international parliamentary bodies, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union, were discussed.
