The Belarusian Culture Ministry and the Latvian Culture Ministry plan to sign a cooperation program for 2013-2015. Belarusian Culture Minister Boris Svetlov is expected to visit Latvia on 13-15 March. During the visit the Minister will meet with his Latvian counterpart Ms Zaneta Jaunzeme-Grende to discuss future cooperation in culture and arts between the two countries. After the meeting the sides will sign a document. The program includes several positions such as the development of cooperation in movie production, in theater art, concert and tour activities, museum business and exhibitions, library business, organization of on-the-job training for professors and students of culture universities and other things. The Belarusian Culture Minister will take part in the unveiling of a plaque in memory of the Belarusian people’s poet Yanka Kupala. The plaque has been created by young Belarusian sculptor Mr Pavel Voinitsky. It will be placed on the building of the Belarusian school in Riga that has been named after the people’s poet. Apart from that, the Culture Minister will take part in the opening of a museum exhibition dedicateed to the life and art of Yanka Kupala.
