Belarus regrets carrier rocket launch by Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

Belarus accepted the news of the launch of a carrier rocket Unha-3 by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) with regret, reads a statement released by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The statement reads: “With regret the Republic of Belarus accepted the news of the launch of a carrier rocket Unha-3 by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The launch runs contrary to UN Security Council resolution No. 1874.
We believe that the inalienable right of the DPRK to carry out peaceful space exploration should not conflict with relevant decisions of the UN Security Council, bringing disarray into matters relevant for maintaining international and regional security”.
