Belarus President appoints heads of diplomatic missions

The performance of Belarusian ambassadors abroad will be primarily evaluated taking into account the advancement of trade and economic ties with specific countries and regions. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement as he appointed heads of diplomatic missions, BelTA reported.

“Economy and export must be your primary concerns. They are the key factors. We are going to evaluate your performance on the basis of these factors. We don’t want you to accomplish some global and impossible tasks. You will just have to add little by little every year,” said the head of state. “I want you to be objective and honest since you represent the president and the country. I want you to advance export and economy. We count on you a lot.”

The President remarked that Belarusian products enjoy solid demand in many countries.
