EU Special Representative for Human Rights pays a working visit to Belarus

EU Special Representative for Human Rights Stavros Lambrinidis pays a working visit to Belarus, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

On 10 March Stavros Lambrinidis is expected to take part in the UNDP international conference “Capital Punishment: Overcoming Disagreements” organized in cooperation with the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The EU official is also set to hold meetings in the parliament and ministries of Belarus.

“The visit of the EU Special Representative for Human Rights is organized for the first time to promote further development of the dialogue on human rights between Belarus and the European Union which was renewed in July 2015,” the press service noted.
