Multimedia exhibition of Van Gogh artworks on display in Minsk

A multimedia exhibition of Van Gogh artworks has gone on show in Minsk, BelTA reports.
The exposition features about 400 works that maximally reflect the artist’s mood and the atmosphere of that time. Music, including compositions of Piotr Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Claude Debussy, “strengthens” the mood of the artist in different periods of his life. Before seeing the multimedia presentation, visitors may get familiar with the information stands which tell about the biography of the artist and demonstrate the artist’s technique. Screens will also show excerpts from the artist’s letters to his brother Theo, which made the basis of the project. These letters can be considered an alternative view on the history of the artist’s creative life.
The multimedia exhibition preserves masterpieces for many years to come and provides an opportunity to see every detail of each artwork. The exhibition makes part of the cycle of the events celebrated worldwide to mark the 125th anniversary of Vincent Van Gogh’s death.
